ACTIVITIES

We have a diverse range of events to quench your curiosity as striving researchers. Our regular events are of the following:

Road to Research - Our first event of every year after the Fresher's Fair. This is where we introduce ourselves, who we are and what we do as a society.

Seminar - Talks given by distinguished lecturers and professors from the university. They will present their area of research, as well as providing insight in to the life of a researcher; from the how to become one, to the joys and difficulties of being one. There is also the possibility that we will invite outside guest to give a talk as well.

Research Facilities Tour - One of our main mission as a society is to help our members connect with the community of researchers of their prospective field of research, and what better way to do so than to show you around the research facilities associated with the university.

Panel Discussion - We also aim to bring awareness on the importance of research to our society. we do so by hosting a Panel Discussion consisting of industry and research experts on trending topics/ emerging technologies; a chance for you ask questions straight from experts in the field.

Social Nights - We don't just host academic events, as a society we also host fun social events pub quizes, paintballing, boardgame names. A chance for us to just come together, have a laugh, and take a break from our hectic academic life!
